Atkins update

After two weeks of eating eggs, cheese. bacon, more cheese, more eggs, veggies, salad with tons of olive oil, tuna, more bacon, more eggs, steaks and lots of chicken….. and water… lots and lots of water…

I’m about 15 pounds lighter.

The carb-withdrawal headache is gone. I’m feeling a lot more energy. I don’t feel sluggish like I used to all afternoon and evening.

OK… so far so good. I’m going to go for a walk now.

    WOW! That’s fantastic - congratulations!! Do you think you will stick with this way of eating? My main question is how do you overcome feeling deprived of things you really enjoy eating?

    It took me about a week to stop wanting a Whooper or a slice of pizza. I think that was more the lack of bread carbs than anything else. Now I really don’t miss it. Of course I could still go for a Whooper or a bagel or a slice of pizza but I’ll hold off for now.

    WTG David!! That is some progress. Good job!

    I am going to see how it goes over the next few months with my plan, and if the metabolism isn’t up to the speed of years part, may pay the Atkin’s plan a visit.
