Daddy, make a picture

Finally, beautiful weather.

We started Saturday planning on going out for the afternoon to a park or otherwise suitable for picknicking with the kids but we were soon waylaid with the notion of having some friends over for dinner. I prepared Jamie Oliver’s spagetti puttanesca with the warm rocket salad (see the bottom of the page). We had some friends over and the house was filled with five running, crawling and shrieking children and four slightly inebriated adults. Just a perfect evening all around.

Today we made tracks after the girls woke up from their naps. The picknick postponed was held this afternoon on the grounds of the John Jay Homestead. There was much running to catch L before she wandered off onto the roadway.

All around a great weekend. I even manged to shoot a roll of 120 film today. I’m exhausted.
