I’m thinking about working on this design… honest
Scranton was… Scranton. What can I say about a hotel that’s been open for less than six months, that has 170+ rooms and two restaurants and has only TWO FRIGGIN HIGH CHAIRS IN THE WHOLE PLACE AND ONE OF THEM IS BROKEN!?!?!?!?
But I digress…
My Grandmother has spent her entire life waiting hand and foot on other people and now that she’s hit 90 and has several surgeries for cancer she just can’t let go. Just getting her to sit down and relax is hard enough. There are a set of very frightening stairs (think the steps above Minas Morgul in Return of the King) down to her basement / garage that she still uses to get in and out of the house.
On an optimistic note, she seems to know an awful lot about an independent living facility nearby, so maybe she’s been doing some research.
We’re all getting ready for our official First Annual Bring Your Kids and Drink and Eat New Year’s Day Brunch on Thursday. The basic idea is that folks like us, with small kids, don’t get out on New Years Eve, mainly because we can’t stay up that late anymore. So we’re inviting a whole bunch of our mommy/daddy friends and their offspring for a bash on Thursday.
I see on the clock that the little hand is approaching eight. Time to go to work.
bye!
Scranton has a hotel? Huh.
