how come

I can do 45 minutes on the elliptical trainer at the gym but I still get winded walking up the stairs?

    Because stairs are diagnal, not eliptical.

    I noticed that myself a couple months ago. Now, every other time I’m at the gym I throw in a short workout on the stair climber. I don’t have stairs at home but I can tell I’m walking up stairs anywhere else a little bit easier.
