I’m thinking about working on this design… honest
I’m in that awkward time between giving notice and actually leaving. The boss has been very cool about it all. The story, in short, is that business is not as good as it could be and in the long run it’s better for my own personal peace of mind to be somewhere where there’s growth, not shrinkage. I do have the proverbial ‘mouths to feed…’
The boss completely understood and frankly between us and the wall probably was relieved since I have no idea how he was going to afford to keep paying me what I was making.
The new gig is a PR agency in Stamford, just as close to home. It’s growing and adding new business so I can be reasonably assured of a paycheck for the time being.
So, do I stay here for another hour or be a good camper and get back to the office? What the heck, they can’t fire me, can they?
Congrats on the new gig, but jeez, show some initiative man. There ought to be at least one bar between there and the office, hm? ;)
