You just can’t make this stuff up..

This is priceless.

”Why don’t they get new jobs if they’re unhappy — or go on Prozac?” said Susan Sheybani, an assistant to Bush campaign spokesman Terry Holt. The comment was apparently directed to a colleague who was transferring a phone call from a reporter asking about job quality, and who overheard the remark. When told the Prozac comment had been overheard, Sheybani said: “Oh, I was just kidding.”

If there was ever any doubt that the folks in the White House have no freaking clue what it’s like to live in the real world, to struggle to pay the bills, the mortgage, put food on the table and still manage to squeeze just a little bit of joy out of life, there shouldn’t be any now.

Is the Prozac covered under my health plan which we pay over $500/month for or is it an
additional expense? Cuz I wouldn’t mind my life so much if I was drugged. Rich and I both
work 40 hours/week and we still can’t pay the damn bills. Great life. Please pass the Prozac!

Wait, I see a new campaign slogan here:

Bush/Cheney: Because Sweet Liquor and Mood Altering Drugs Ease the Pain.

    Or

    Bush/Cheney: Remember to Forget.

you know…with that slogan I would definitely vote for him. Thanks for making my
decision so much easier. You are so helpful.

I thought this story, on the heels of this one (though it is not from a reliable source) was just too funny! No wonder our boy W is so out of touch— he’s all drugged up and happy.
