Daddy, make a picture

This week two seemingly unrelated events have come to confound my nights.

One, the return of my on-again-off-again insomnia. It’s on again.

Which has unfortunately timed itself to coincide with the second event, our TV has died.

So, blog I must. Either that or read, work in the darkroom, fold some laundry, or otherwise make myself useful.

I’m not so sure I’m unhappy about the TV dying. Apart from the fact that the kids have been watching the same damn Dragontales DVD on the tiny portable DVD player… again and again AND AGAIN, it’s been a nice change of pace. I miss The Daily Show, but that’s really about it.

So maybe this is the begining of something we should have started long ago.

On the other hand, will my kids be cultural freaks because they don’t know their Megaziods from the latest Hillary Duff video?

On the third hand, is that such a bad thing?

Damn, I need some sleep.
