I’m thinking about working on this design… honest
The Mommy and the Daddy headed into the Big City to see Stew last night at the Thalia Theater at Symphony Space.
I’m sure I must have known this but I sort of forgot that Probyn Gregory of Wondermints was in Stew’s band. I did remember that Heidi from Wednesday Week was Stew’s thinner, lighter half. So I had to bite my tongue to keep myself from requesting ‘Why.’
What can I say, Stew rocks. So why is that no matter how hard the band rocks out, the oh so sophisticated Upper West Side crowd can be barely bothered to even bob their heads up and down let alone tap their feet? Buncha uptight white people if you ask me.
Oh, Adam Duritz from Counting Crows (and the guitar player, I forgot his name) came up and played a few songs, ‘Submarine Down’ and ‘Is this the Single?’ and Adam sang lead on ‘Bleed.’ I’m not sure if this gives him cred points… I still the CC sucks.
Now playing on iTunes: Mahnsanto from the album “Stew or The Negro Problem” by The Negro Problem

Bastard. Did you see the first or second show?
Hey, Duritz and Stew singing “Bleed” is online. A poor version, but online nonetheless.
