I stumbled upon something called Audioscrobbler. Basically you put this plug-in on your hard drive that uploads your most recently played songlist to the Audioscrobbler web site. The dark, mysterious and multi-tentacled aliens who run the sight then compare what you listen to what others are listening to and arrange audio-geek blind dates with folks with similar tastes.
