I’m thinking about working on this design… honest
Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting ubber-alpha-blogger Steve Rubel.
In the PR industry, of which I am a cog in the giant machine, Steve is the guru slash crazed guy wandering in the wilderness screaming “the whole world is changing!!!” Or as Scoble and Shel would put it “Blog or Die!!!!” On top of that he’s one of the few authentically nice guys in the industry, and a Moleskine geek to boot!
Steve and I had a nice chat about how our profession is changing, not only from blogs but from the whole new world of transparency the Inkernet is bringing upon us all. In short it really is a case of Blog or Die for many of the large PR, advertising, marketing communications agencies.
It’s kind of cool to be in a position where the thing I love doing… blogging… can be applied to the thing I do for a living… PR. Now if only I can get my Alien Overlords to agree.
Lucky bastard. Enjoying your job. What the hell is wrong with you.
By the way, I love the picture of Lucy and the train. It should be a poster.
Blogging is great way to vent those thoughts you have whilst waiting in a queue, like “oh great, she’s paying with coupons!! I hate when people do that”.
Or those inspirationally ones, “if everybody walked on the right in corridors then I wouldn’t have to wade through a sea of people!”. Yet you know this will never happen!
