I have two children, Lauren age 5, Brandon aged 4.
Sometimes when they go to bed they keep shouting for “Daddy”. Each time I go up to see what it is they want, they tell me something they did that day because they had forgotten to mention it early.
And so for the next hour, or more, I go up and down the stairs until I’ve completely missed what I was trying to watch. Just when I think I’ve had enough I go up “one last time”, I’m about to tell them that it’s time to be quiet and go to sleep!
“But Dad….”, “Yes?”, “I love you and I forgot to give me a kiss good night!”.
And that is why I’ve been going up and down for the last hour…. What did I miss? Nothing important, after all my kids love me and I kissed them good night
