It seems like only yesterday your mom was tapping me on the shoulder (at 5AM no less!) and telling me ‘it’s time!’
You are both beautiful young ladies with the brightest of futures ahead of you.
I know fathers are supposed to fear for their daughters. Tradition tells me I should worry about the men you bring to our door and fear even more the ones we never meet.
I don’t.
I embrace the wide open world you both will someday inherit and make your own.
Seriously David, being a male you now how bad we are once the hormones kick in. Personally my daughter will be shackled to her bed until she’s 21, then she’s not of my concern.
Well, I could use the old joke about Warren Beatty and the poetic justice of him having a daughter, but I’ll let it pass.
