Geek Dinner NYC

I just got home and I’m definitely coming down with something awful but before I forget … thanks to Steve Rubel for throwing together a gathering of (by my count) 50 or so of New York’s bloggers. And to BL Ochman for using some sort of Jedi mind trick on the staff of Two Boots and getting us all seated.

It was a great opportunity to meet some of the folks I know are literally just around the corner from me but I haven’t yet had the chance to get out there and say hi. So it was a real pleasure to finally meet Tom Guarriello and Mike Dunn, both of whom live a stones through from where I sit. Well, I actually met Mike yesterday but our sons were there and we couldn’t geek out without embarrassing someone.

Also, finally meeting Dave Winer and Robert Scoble was a blast. Also Susan Mernit, Michael Kaltschnee, and others who’s business cards I’m still going through.

Speaking of business cards, better than half that I saw were Hugh designs. Nice meme!
