Related to my screed from yesterday on the value (or not) of outside PR agencies, a tale from Mason Cole about groupthink and the value of someone from the outside (a PR agency perhaps?) offering a fresh perspective on marketing problems.

Among the many things a PR agency can do for a company – big or small – is to be able to sniff out when the emperor has no clothes.
