Following the Flock

I’ve been playing with Flock for a few days now.

I can’t quite decide if it’s over rated or the greatest thing since sliced bread.

For one thing, I’m writing this from within the Flock blogging interface. It’s a nice touch but very limited – like no categories. And no place to put trackbacks. Unless I’m missing something and someone tell me if I am.

So I might as well just use ecto. Add a few things like the del.icio.us bar to Firefox and you basically have… Flock.

But it’s nice to have all these tools we’ve been playing with over the past year in one place, under one hood as it were.

I’m going to keep playing.

Update: Cameron Reilly is having the same problem with Flickr that I am. So I guess I’m not the only one who can’t access their Flickr account via the topbar.

  • Well let's be patient with the Flock team - after all, it is a beta! The team behind Flock are pretty bold, bringing together technologies that have become popular in the past few years. It seems like a time of great potential, so I'm happy to wait for the full release and see how it all comes together.
