Get some popcorn.
You won’t want to miss this one.
Every now and then a piss fight breaks out in the blogosphere that makes all this obsessive watching of your aggregator (“refresh… refresh”) worth your while.
This time it’s Audible’s announcement of a product offering podcasters control and tracking over their podcasts.
Got that so far? Seems fairly innocuous. Until certain bloggers (Dave Winer, Doc Searls, Om Malik and others) took exception to Audible’s promotion of its .aa format instead of .mp3 (among other issues).
Still… innocuous enough? Well, remember what we tell are clients about reporters and barrels of ink? In this case someone should have told Audible consultant Mitch Ratcliffe before he decided to go off on a long rambling series of rants / blog entries that certain bloggers have nothing better to do than pick apart your argument line by line by line.
Mike Arrington has the details or you can follow the fun on Memeorandum
Enjoy!
