The Katrina session is over and honestly, we can all go home now.
Brian Oberkirch and Evelyn Rodriguez offered first person accounts. Britt Blaser and Zach Rosen talking about actually using all of this technology that we take for granted to actually DO SOMETHING and save lives.
For the first time in a while I was able to forget about all the petty shit that goes hand in hand with the blogosphere and think that we could actually do something vitally important.
I’ve got to be honest, I almost felt silly when Brian called me out for helping spread the word about the Slidell Hurricane Damage Blog. It wasn’t that hard to sit at home sending out emails. Other people did the heavy lifting, I can’t take even a tiny part of the credit.
