So what if I am?

CHICAGO—All 17 customers at Chicago’s Urn coffee shop were billing third parties for time spent there. “The people on laptops are web designers, unless they have big headphones—those are either musicians or producers,” said the Urn’s owner, Maria Carmichael, who wrote her coffee shop’s business plan in a coffee shop.

HA! This is great! I enjoy it especially because I want to open my own coffee shop someday. Sort of a later-in-life goal, after I get my PR kick done with (if that happens.)

It is crazy that more and more people today make their office out of local coffee shops. It’s so reasonable though if you have a job such as mentioned above. It definitely saves the extra rent money. I basically live in coffee shops at school and am actually writing this post in one right now.

There is just something about the atmosphere, maybe the aroma, or maybe the different types of people, or maybe the fact that everyone else is on their computers too that just makes it an appropriate place to get work done. I can see my self doing business with the rest of them fairly soon, since i graduate this May.
