Human touch

This afternoon I went out to the garage to get my beloved Craftsman LT1000 Tractor ready for the first cutting of the season. And you thought I was kidding when I said marketing begings at home….?

Put the key in the ignition, pulled the clutch, pumped, turned once, twice.. nothing… not a sound.

And as I’m scratching my head wondering what to do next, I notice an 800 number on the dashboard.
Which I call, and which is answered by.. a real live human being!

After we get past the ‘what’s your problem’ part she told me they could have a technician out to my house on Friday.

The whole thing took maybe three minutes.

Maybe Sears should change its tag line to ‘get a real human on the phone who can solve your problem in three minutes or less.’
