Riffing on a couple of ideas running through my head… so bear with me cause this stomach bug I’ve had ain’t going anywhere except right to my head.
Sometime around 1998 it occured to me that the only thing I could count on from then on would be a constant state of change – everything around me career-wise and business-wise was in a constant state of flux and the folks around me (clients and cow orkers) either got or they didn’t. And if they didn’t, they are gone now.
Annie Heckenberger further points out the wisdom of something Doc Searls noted in his keynote last week at Syndicate and how it applies to the constant state of change our clients find themselves in these days.
In this new world, relaunch is the formula for success. Anything that remains static, is old. Passe. Played. Just one week following a few myspace profiles and you won’t recognize an individual’s page from hour-to-hour or day-to-day. And same with the brands on myspace who are winning the battle of friends – they are smart enough to understand the formula that Madonna tapped more than 20 years ago. Give members a reason to come back. Change your look. Change your content. Change your image.
And then Hugh says “The phrase I can’t get out my head is “Cultural Transformation.”
Must be something in the air….
