[B]logger Steve Rubel, senior vice president at the Edelman public relations firm in New York, said he liked the fact that Edwards spent a good portion of the time during his session listening to what other people had to say.
“He has been a great ambassador for the tech industry, at least in terms of his adoption of the tools, which I think says a lot,” Rubel said.
Pardon my French but WTF???
Steve, I love you. You are a true macher. But you’ve been drinking the Gnomedex Kool Aid.
As much as I admire Senator Edwards, I’ll vote for whomever promises to get us out of this nightmare war, deal with the growing debt crisis and restore the goodwill our nation once had.
If that person happens to know a wiki from a hole in the ground, so much the nicer but that’s pretty much icing on the cake.
[B]logger Mitch Ratcliffe urged Edwards to give a blogger a seat on his campaign bus, with complete access and without restrictions, should he decide to run for the 2008 Democratic nomination.
Winer, sitting next to Rubel in the Bell Harbor Conference Center lobby, disagreed about the significance of such a move.
“Who cares if he puts a blogger on the bus?” Winer said.
Finally… Some perspective.
“He should put you on the bus,” Rubel answered. “That’s what I would say if I were advising him.”
“That,” Winer said, “would be courageous.”
Whoops! Spoke too soon.
