Reunited and it feels so good

News in the consumer tech publishing world – Wired Magazine parent company Conde Naste has purchased Wired Digital.

Back in the olden days of funky fonts and ASCII sigs, Wired couldn’t afford to keep both the magazine and it’s rapidly growing online empire (including HotBot, Suck, WebMonkey in addition to Wired News) so it sold the magazine to Conde Naste and the online version to Lycos. And Lycos of course imploded along with the rest of the Web1.0 Brands We Used To Know(tm). Which lead Wired News to literally rot on the vine for the past six years.

So it’s good to see the two versions of the publication back together again. Here’s hoping for a once again vibrant online version of the magazine.
