This is the day

It’s Election Day here in the U.S. of A. and this year it’s a big one. While I usually shy away from overtly political messages on this blog, I’m a die-hard left-wing bleeding-heart card-carrying member of the East Coast Liberal Establishment(tm) and my vote this morning will be cast for John Hall for the US Congress from the 19th CD of New York. I’ve detailed my reasons at Take19, our local exercise in blog democracy.

Whatever your politics, go out and vote today. There’s nothing you can do today that’s even close in importance.

Ah, Election Day. What a day of strife and grief! Did I vote? No, I didn't, but I have a good reason. I am away from my home town and this election was one of a more local relation besides voting for house and whatnot. I didn't get an absentee ballot. But for some reason, I am beginning to care less and less about the corruptness.
