Hamsexy is my favorite group blog, period. The jokes are a lot funnier if you are a ham but still, it’s always worth a visit.

In just over a week I’ll be heading out to the City by the Bay for Macworld. I’ll be speaking on Friday and spending the rest of the week soaking in the Apple goodness.
The Mac Observer, a client and a friend, is once again providing the best coverage and in honor of their seventh year of providing live coverage of the SteveNote, they are running a special article on just how they manage to pull it all off.
Here’s how their very first Macworld in 1999 went:
While watching the keynote, I wrote everything into a note on my Palm using the stylus and Palm’s Graffiti implementation. Then, when there was a lull in the action, I would beam that note to John. As soon as I did that, I was free to resume note-taking. Once John got the note, he would copy and paste the text and send it off in an e-mail to Bryan Chaffin at TMO’s main office in Austin. When Bryan received the e-mail, he would take it and post it to a document on the site that our readers were continually reloading in their browsers. Though difficult to pull-off, it worked, and we managed to put something on the site that our readers found compelling. The response was so positive, in fact, that we decided to do it again the following Macworld.
The complete article is here. It’s a great read. And of course, for the best coverage of the Keynote, you can always depend on TMO.
We’re off to our annual New England Hunukwanzamass so there won’t be any postings until Tuesday.
In the meantime, enjoy…

Josh Hallet had an interesting run-in with the Powers behind the “Visit Florida” blog.
Said Josh:
One of the concerns I had was how the site would handle negative comments (if they received any). Back in November I e-mailed some questions (you can read my original e-mail at the bottom of this post) to Vanessa Welter, Director Public Relations. I never received a response and followed-up with her this morning. Below is her response:
With all due respect, we address these issues and matters with our industry board and committees and the very trusted vendors we work with whom have been vetted by our industry. Our evolving web site development is in very capable and educated hands and is guided by our industry’s philosophy at the current time. If you did not see negative comments on the site, it is because we either did not get any, or they are not being posted. The reasons why should be obvious.
Wow. Talk about brush-off.
So not one to be blown off, Josh blogged about it. And in the comments section, who should speak up but Ms. Welter’s boss, Dale Brill of Visit Florida.
There’s a great example here of paying attention to what’s being said about you in the blogosphere and responding when necessary.
