jetBlue CEO David Neeleman was all over the news this morning apologizing to the passengers stranded on planes at JFK during Tuesday’s snowstorm. Most importantly he was taking responsibility.
Meanwhile, yesterday I dropped Mrs. Marketing Begins At Home and the Boy Genius at the Delta terminal at JFK for the flight to Paris. The flight that was scheduled to leave at 6:45 PM but didn’t leave until 1:00 AM this morning. The terminal that was filled to the rafters with panicked travelers, snaking lines and surley staff. We actually saw Delta staff yelling at confused passengers who could barely speak English.
For Delta this is probably a regular experience so I won’t expect an apology for my wife and son or for the poor foreign visitors who missed their flights home.
So there in a nutshell you have it. Why I only fly jetBlue.
