Yep folks, the rumors are true.
Scrapblog’s editor is a flash application, which may make a lot of you cringe, but not for good cause. Scrapblog, as we’ve mentioned before, has one of the most natural feels of any online application out there. It’s full screen and closely mimics the design of a Windows desktop application.
So says Nick Gonzalez in his write up of the Scrapblog preview in TechCrunch. Full story here.
Right now you can preview Scrapblog and even create one of your own. Just go to our preview site, and start creating. We’re still pulling down the scaffolding and popping the bubble wrap so go easy. And if anything strange happens, let us know. Otherwise, enjoy!
Bonus Link: Tara has a great Scrapblog-related story of jumping into the mix, embracing the chaos and taking chances.

Disclosure – their PR agency pitched me. So here you go.
Disclosure 2 – I have three kids and I find the advertising targeting them to be excessive and appalling.
Disclosure 3 – I wonder how these guys can sleep at night.
Or BlogMetroNorth?
I’ve been toying with this one for a while. I’m not only sick and tired of hauling ass out to whever to meet with other bloggers, I’m sick of everything being down in ‘Da City.’ I know there’s a whole bunch of us up here in the wild suburbs, at least enough of us to pull some sort of day-long confabb together.
Think of it as a full on geek out on cyberculture in the burbs. With t-shirts and schwag bags.
Howard? Michelle? Mike? Adam? Kathryn? Tom? Tom? Valorie? Wilson?
Bueller?
I had been approached by a local social services agency to give a talk on Internet safety for kids. A subject close to my heart because, well I have kids and there’s this Internet. And for the most part (despite the situation mentioned in the previous post) I think it’s a wonderful tool for them to use and explore their world and develop the skills they will need to compete in the Global economy.
So five minutes ago I got an email from the agency’s director. They are dropping me because they got noted fearmonger and cyberbully Parry Aftab.
Great. Good to know that’s what they were looking for.
