  • had the same reaction when i first read in via http://nytimesriver.com and then again when dave winer posted about it - sad statement of the environment there, though to be factual, it has always been that way, nothing new or recent - and one of the reasons i've personally avoided moving there throughout my career, even though i've had many offers - i like visiting it and most companies i've been associated w/ there have been innovative and positive in nature, but not the sort of place to live and raise a family - imho of course...
