At least I hope I am.. again. In addition to the aforementioned panel of “marketers who more or less ‘get it‘” I am proposing a SXSW panel entitled “Raising Web 2.0 Enabled Kids in a World Afraid of MySpace.”
As wired and net-savvy parents, how can we strike a balance between offering our children the possibilities for global communication, learning and self-expression that the Internet offers while protecting them from the seedier side of the Web? How do we protect our children without resorting to the typical anti-MySpace hysteria promoted by educators and the media? What real possibilities for learning and enrichment exist on the Internet?
