Yesterday I took the kids to the new L.L. Bean in Albany to get boots, jackets, etc. etc…
I spent 1987-1989 living in New York State’s Capital City, working on a Masters in Public Administration (never finished those last few courses) and working in a variety of government jobs. All told, I spent about two years working in the crown jewel of the City, the Capital Building. So the trip was a bit of a nostalgia journey for me, as well as a chance to shove a history lesson into the kids’ heads. And of course show them where Daddy spent his late 20s.
