At least he didn't say "No Comment".
  • awesome clip - glad to have read marijean's comment too, always two sides to every story...

and don't you just hate those "ambush journalists" - they just seem to always want to ask those nagging questions that political officials don't want to or can't answer

    thank god for jesus
  • Ah, one of my favorite hometown clips (ever!). I was living in St. Charles, Mo. and teaching PR at a local university when this little gem occurred, giving us lots to talk about in class. Two sides to this story -- the reporter is notorious for a style of ambush journalism that has left many in St. Louis speechless and afraid to emerge from their offices. Ortwerth wasn't going to let Davis get the best of him and while the result is bizarre, he didn't engage in the argument the reporter wanted, nor did he address that which he was unprepared to speak about. Not what I would recommend, but a fun watch, overall. People thought he'd lost his marbles, of course. Thanks for the great find, David.
  • That's just plain bizarre. I don't even know what to say about that.
  • Maybe he was referring further inquiries to Hay-soos, his spokesperson from Puerto Rico.
