Next stop… Santa Rosa

New Communications Forum

Next on the agenda is the New Communications Forum in Santa Rosa, CA, April 22-25.

I’ll be running a workshop “Beyond Blogging” on what to do once you have your blog up and running.

The New Communications Forum has become THE annual gathering for PR and marketing folks who are implementing social media for their clients or in their organizations. If this describes you, or if you are in a PR agency and want to learn from some of the finest minds in the field, you best be attending.

More good vibes

Forgive me for tooting my own horn here but I’ve never received as much good wuffie for a panel or speaking gig as I have for the panel I moderated last week at SXSW. Here are more good reviews from Tim WalkerSmall Business SurvivalAdam Darowski and That Canadian Girl. Chris Heuer, who participated in the panel, added his own thoughts on the matter here.

In short, don’t sell people crap, don’t try to pretend that people need your crap and don’t, by any means, try to pretend your crap is not crap – because everyone knows crap when they smell it.

Amen.

The sky is falling

JP Morgan spent less to acquire Bear Sterns than the New York Yankees did to secure Alex Rodriguez.

Kind of puts things in perspective, don’t it?
