Today I took Twin Princess Number One for a date to the New York Hall of Science. Afterwards, we trekked through Flushing Meadows Corona Park so I could show her the Unisphere.
Somewhere in a shoebox in my parent’s house, there’s a picture of yours truly taken more than 40 years ago in that exact same spot. Back then it was the 1964 New York World’s Fair and the future looked so bright to us. Now the park is fields of mud and puddles and what’s left of the Fair is a few old buildings (some restored, some left to rot) and the memories.
