What’s Left of Shea

As if to put the icing on the cake of the memories from my last post, here is what’s left of Shea Stadium, former home of the Mets, the Jets and where in 1966 I saw my first baseball game.
In a few weeks it will all be gone as the Mets move into Citi Field. Yankee Stadium is similarly scheduled for the wrecking ball when the Bronx Bombers move across the street next month.
