On Engagement

The Twitter fail whale error message.

About a month ago, Bryan Person and I were ragchewing on Twitter about the whole ‘engagement’ thing. Out of that came a blog post you can read here.

A big thanks to Bryan for letting me mouth off and use his blog as a soap box.

The Miracle

DSC_0034, originally uploaded by david parmet.

Yesterday I had the privilege of helping out at the US Olympic Committee’s Countdown to Vancouver event in New York’s Rockefeller Center.

There to lend support and encouragement to the US Team hopefuls were members of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” men’s hockey team.

A lot of times we talk about those pre-Internet and pre-ubiquitous 24/7 media moments when the whole world really felt like it had stopped still. It’s neat though to actually meet the participants in those moments live in the flesh

Here are the rest of my pictures from the day:

Here’s the official “One Day” promotional spot, with music by my fellow MOT Matisyahu.
