Good morning from Pittsburgh.
I had a nice drive along the Pennsylvania Turnpike yesterday - pictures are here.
After my panel this morning, I’ll be heading back out - this time taking the northern tier - Route 80. I’ll post a wrap up of my talk this afternoon.
Product placement… hrm… lemme go get the kids….
We stopped in Union Station for a break from the heat. I took a lot of pictures. I was pretty obvious. I was standing in front of a security guard when I took this one.
No one stopped me.
It’s nice to have a Congresscritter you can point out to your children as a role model. Rare, I know.
Here in the Hudson Valley (NY-19) we are lucky to be represented by John Hall. Formerly of Orleans and the No Nukes concerts of the early 80s, John defeated the odious Sue Kelly in 2006 and will probably (hopefully) glide to re-election this year.
And if you go to one of John’s events, chances are Fishkill resident Pete Seeger will show up with his banjo and lead a sing-along. Like he did Monday at the opening of John’s re-election campaign head quarters. Pictures are here.
