I’m a public relations professional who’s been at this since the early 1990s. I’ve worked in several major agencies for some big name clients (ask me and I’ll tell all) and now I’m out on my own.
I’ve worked with many cutting-edge Web2.0 companies, most notably Assembla, Scrapblog, Giftgirl, eSnips, PubSub, BackBeat Media, Mozes and English Cut.
I do everything from conventional media relations to working with bloggers and other social media denizens, business development and strategic planning.
I’m always interested in taking on new projects or full-time employement. I’m based in Westchester County, NY, about an hour’s drive from midtown Manhattan. While I’m happiest working no further than a stones throw from my lovely wife and three beautiful children (hence the name ‘Marketing Begins at Home’.. get it?), I’ve worked and can work with clients around the world. Bandwidth is cheap, let’s use some.
If you’d like to talk with me about a project, ongoing work or employment my contact information is below. Here’s my resume.
Here’s some of the media coverage I’ve secured for clients:

My work with English Cut is featured in Robert Scoble and Shel Israel’s book Naked Conversations: How Blogs are Changing the Way Businesses Talk with Customers.
Speaking and Training:
I’ve moderated panels on social media and public relations at the Syndicate Conference in 2005 and 2006. I’ve moderated panels at the 2008 and 2007 South by SouthWest Interactive Festival. I’ve also participated in panels at the New Communications Forum in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
I’ve run social media training sessions for industry groups, public relations agencies and advertising agencies. These last anywhere from one to four hours and cover everything from the basics of social media to more advanced subjects like podcasting, video and getting traffic to your blog.
