Nice notice

A nice article in the Fairfield County Businss Journal about the Business Smart Tools conference last week.

Parmet said using blogs is one way that a small business can get a customer base extending across the nation or around the world.

One of Parmet’s clients is a tailor in the famous Saville Row tailoring district in London. The tailor enjoyed blogging about the history of Saville Row, about tailoring and about his business.

See? Like any good PR guy I get my client in the story.

Anyway, I’m packing up and heading out so the next time you hear from me I’ll be on the other side. See you at Supernova.

Business blogs

Auntie Beeb has a nice story on business blogging. Although I think the train has left the station on this one – business blogging stories are so 2004 – there’s some nice quotes from Hugh about Stormhoek and English Cut.

“What I’m interested in is what I call the global micro-brand,” says Mr Macleod. “Now with the internet, creating global micro-brands is cheaper and easier than ever before. You can start off and have a product and market it on a global level much more easily than even 10 years ago.”

Sometimes I think I’ll never get tired of saying that.

a bit of bragging

Thomas Mahon is quoted on how to spot a cheap suit in the current issue of Men’s Health. The ‘interview’ such as it was consisted of me pointing a journalist to appropriate quotes on the English Cut blog. There’s yet another reason you should all be encouraging your clients to blog, it saves us all time.

Since adding new features on Tuesday, eSnips has seen page views per visitor triple. Yael explains,

It’s fascinating to watch in real time what happens when a service that already has a substantial user base and traffic suddenly becomes social. It’s like a light turning on. One day it’s just your stuff and the people you share it with, the next day it’s suddenly all interconnected, and you discover other related content by other people, and interesting people who may have been there right next to you all along , but you had no way of knowing.

BackBeat Media continues to rockhard.

There enough Stormhoek in my garage to kill an army, or at least get it pretty drunk.

‘Nuff said.

I am not nearly as ADD as I thought I was, at least not by comparision to the average BarCamp-ite.

Today I’m going to be showing off the Indeed API, English Cut as well as doing my schpiel on social networking and stuff.
